Job Opening: Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician – Baytown, TX

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain package equipment and conveying equipment, including palletizers, FFS bag packaging equipment, stretch wrappers and stretch hooding equipment.
• Maintain warehouse including dock doors, painting, welding, plumbing and small concrete jobs.
• Rebuild any machinery that can be rebuilt for the packaging machine.
• Provide own common hand tools needed for daily mechanic work.
• Other duties may be assigned.

REQUIRED COMPENTENCIES:

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to supervision.
• Understand the operation of the FF&S packaging line.
• Work in conjunction with operations on daily operational mechanical related issues.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment as required by manufacturer.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
• Perform general and routine maintenance inside and outside the building.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Fix potential safety hazards to avoid incidents.
