Job Title: Boiler Mechanic

Location: Ada, MI

Pay Rate: Up to 35 per hour

Shift: 1st shift 6:30AM – 3:30PM,  This position will require employees to be available Monday through Saturday with the department determining which days will comprise the 40 hour work week based upon scheduling demands.

Job Description: Under minimal supervision; this position is responsible for all aspects of safe and efficient operation of all complex and offsite boiler systems. Identifies, analyzes, plans, and completes all preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and adjustments associated with steam generation systems and related safety devices. Responsible for maintaining the feed water and condensate return to the proper chemistry. Ensures daily work requests and projects are completed through individual or cooperative efforts. Responsible for legal compliance with Federal, State, and Local codes and departmental policies/standards. Position is responsible for 24/7 boiler system operations. Communicates with management and subordinates on equipment operation and function. This position will occasionally assist HVAC mechanics with refrigeration, air conditioning, and other related equipment on an emergency basis.

Requirements: Associate Degree - HVAC degree or certificate, Boiler Operators License, State of Michigan Mechanical Contractor’s License and more than 3 years of experience.  Must have a valid State of Michigan driver’s license and be able to operate fork-trucks and Sky-Trak.
