Job Opening: Bindery Operator

Job Title: Bindery Operator Location: Troy, MI Shifts Available: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Shift Payrate: $20 – $25/hour depending on experience

Job Summary: This role is responsible for operating bindery equipment, including cutters, folders, and Tecnau machines, to ensure the production of high-quality finished products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with bindery equipment and a strong commitment to maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up bindery equipment, including cutters, folders, and Tecnau machines, ensuring proper machine adjustments for different types of jobs.

• Monitor production throughout the shift, ensuring all materials are processed accurately and efficiently.

• Perform quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet company standards for consistency and quality.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues with the machines, making adjustments as needed.

• Maintain accurate production logs, including job counts, material usage, and machine settings.

• Ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of all bindery equipment to keep them running smoothly.

• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

• Collaborate with other production team members to meet production deadlines and quality goals.

• Assist with job setup, material handling, and inventory control as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Bindery Operator, with experience running cutters, folders, and Tecnau machines.

• Strong knowledge of bindery equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to perform quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of finished products.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs or more.
