Job Title: Dispatcher

Department: Logistics/Operations

Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Summary:

As a Dispatcher, you will be a crucial link in our operations, responsible for coordinating and managing the efficient movement of goods and services. Your role involves communicating with drivers, field personnel, and clients to ensure timely deliveries and optimal routing. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

Routing and Scheduling: Plan and schedule routes for drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, while optimizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
Communication: Act as the main point of contact between drivers, field personnel, and clients. Communicate any changes or updates promptly and effectively.
Monitoring: Track the status of drivers and deliveries using GPS and other tracking systems. Address any issues or delays that arise.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of delivery times, routes, mileage, and other relevant data.
Problem Solving: Quickly and effectively resolve any operational issues that may arise, such as traffic delays, mechanical problems, or customer complaints.
Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with company policies and industry regulations, including safety standards and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or related field preferred.
Experience: Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role. Familiarity with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
Skills:
