Job Opening: Machine Operator
Description
Machine Operator – Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety requirements, and company policies.
- Follow fire extinguisher (ABC/K) and fire suppression system safety training and procedures.
- Prepare kettles for startup and shut down processes.
- Operate kettles, monitor frying processes, and produce quality products in a high-pressure environment.
- Monitor, maintain, and change kettle oil as needed.
- Set up and change slicer heads.
- Coordinate kettle operations with basement prep rooms and packing areas.
- Oversee quality and food safety of raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
- Remove waste from prep rooms, kettle rooms, and sorting areas and ensure all containers are emptied for the incoming shift.
- Accurately document and log all required information in a timely manner.
- Alert management of issues during the frying process and report equipment malfunctions.
- Operate material handling equipment, including stretch wrappers, pallet jacks, forklifts, and loaders (as trained).
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and sanitize the plant and equipment, including packing machines, conveyors, hoppers, kettles, ceilings, walls, and floors.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to support lunches, breaks, and overall production needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor, Plant Manager, or upper management.
Work Environment:
- High-paced environment with exposure to high-temperature oils, wet and oily surfaces, and noise.
