Job Opening: Stand-Up Forklift Operator

Immediate Need for Stand-Up Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate in Shakopee, MN!

Shift: 

Monday – Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm

Payrate: $21.50/hour

Looking for dependable hard working Forklift Operators to work at our client in Shakopee, you will be paid $21.50 to work (4) 10 hour days. May need to do overtime 1 additional day a week. Will be paid. 

This role is temp to hire, if you prove to be a dependable hard working associate, you will be hired on by our client, and receive $1.00 raise upon getting hired.

Job Description:

• Organize warehouse by using power equipment to remove pallets from pallet returns (e.g., pallet storage, trailers); up-stacking/down-stacking empty pallets; and up-stacking/down-stacking freight.
• Manage freight flow by moving, scanning, and handling freight manually and/or with power equipment.
• Provide basic maintenance to equipment (e.g., clean, inspect).
• Ensure freight quality by processing stray and damaged cases; inspecting pallets, shrink wrap, and freight for damage; cutting shrink wrap as needed; and maintaining records, logs, and forms.
• Maintain merchandise supply by replenishing pallets of merchandise onto/from racks or docks using warehouse systems or through verbal instructions.

Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of one year of Stand-Up Forklift experience required
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and walk in high traffic areas
• The ability to input data into various WMS computer systems
• Complete Drug Screen and Federal Background Check
• Work overtime as assigned
• Current requirements will be to work at least 1 additional day

Skills:

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted and the capacity to transact system information in a productive manner.
