Material Handler needed in NE Houston

Responsibilities:

Responsible for receiving, inspecting, and unloading incoming shipments, ensuring materials are free from damage and match order specifications. They manage inventory by labeling, storing, and tracking materials accurately, and alert supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies. Material handlers transport items to designated areas using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks, support production lines by staging materials, and prepare outgoing shipments by packaging, labeling, and loading goods. They maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and using personal protective equipment, while also completing necessary documentation and using inventory systems to track materials. Effective communication with team members and other departments is essential to resolve issues and maintain workflow efficiency.

Essential Functions:

Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers in loading and unloading trucks Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning.

Qualification:

• Position requires employees to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head.
• Able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Able to stand for long period of time.
• This includes but is not limited to loading and unloading the truck, along with any other duties the driver may need.
• Able to work in non-control climate conditions (heat and cold)

Shift: 1st 7am-5pm Mon – Fri (sometimes Saturday)

Pay: $16
