ProLogistix is now hiring for an experienced Material Handler – ISG Manufacturing Assembler who can assemble computer server hardware with a world-renowned computer company in the area! 

Location: Whitsett

Hours and Starting Pay:

Monday – Friday 6:30am – 3pm $17.50

Description: A Server Assembler’s job is to build and assemble computer server hardware components according to specifications, ensuring they function correctly and meet quality standards. This may involve installing various hardware components like servers, brackets, and PDUs into server racks, while also managing cables for proper airflow and accessibility. The role also includes performing basic functional tests and ensuring the server rack is stable and functional.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Assembly: Assemble server racks by installing components like servers, brackets, fans, and PDUs according to blueprints and specifications.
• Cable Management: Ensure proper cable routing and management within the racks, following standards for neatness, airflow, and accessibility.
• Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and use tools to verify correct installation, alignment, and functionality of components.
• Testing: Perform basic functional tests on components and the server rack to ensure proper operation and connectivity.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records for each server build.
• Inventory: Pull and scan required components from designated locations.
• Maintenance: Ensure a clean and organized work area.
• Safety: Adhere to safety and health rules and regulations.

• Skills and Requirements:

   

  • Technical Skills: Understanding of computer hardware, server rack assembly, and cable management.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in component installation and quality checks.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to handle and lift hardware components.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to follow instructions and communicate with supervisors and team members.

  • Server Rack Assembly: Building and installing server components within a server rack.
  • Server Assembly: Assembling individual server units.
  • Component Assembly: Installing components like brackets and PDUs
