Job Opening: Production Planner

Leading distributor of insulation productions, maintenance, repair and operations.  In need of a Production Planner/Scheduler.

Schedule Monday – Friday

Hour Options:  7am – 4pm ; 8am – 5pm; 6am – 3pm can be flexible

$20.00 hour

Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. Responsibilities: Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements Produces production schedule in line with production capacity to meet customer deliveries Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule Coordinate with material purchasing group and/or expedite suppliers’ material purchase orders as required Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages Utilize MRP/ERP system to generate manufacturing work orders Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse and production teams Notify Outside Sales and Customer Service Representatives of any schedule impacts to customers Coordinates with production teams to develop production schedule to ensure customer commitments are met Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Performs other duties as required 

Requirements: Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods Ability to interact well with internal and external customers Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient use of computer systems and software applications Proficiency in Office Excel and Oracle ERP is a plus In-depth knowledge of ERP or MRP software preferred Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Get it done Attitude! Attn to details; Able to deal with multiple customers through email in a professional manner; Great organizational skills; if have Oracle or MRP/ERP experience is a plus. Bilingual is a plus $17.50-$20/hr DOE Hours they can be flexible
